"The 2014 Julian Reynolds Grande Reserva is a blend of 80% Alicante Bouschet, with 10% each of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, all aged for 18months in new French oak vats. It comes in at 13.7% alcohol. This is thepoint in the red lineup this year where we acquire a little more fleshand sweeter, riper fruit, but this still emphasizes its freshness andelegance most of all. Caressing and sensual thanks to the velvetytexture, this adds fine flavor supported by that underlying freshness. There's a bit of tannic pop still on the finish, but this can certainlybe drunk now. It will last at least through the rest of the decade, maybe more. This is a fine performance in a tough year. There were 14,000 bottles produced, plus some magnums"
